Nowadays, there are systems which are in functioning more than one year without stoping; performance - Linux has a performance better than the other operational systems. The proper Oracle discloses that its data base Oracle 8i is 49% faster in Linux than in the Windows NT; security - in a Linux machine, who doesn't know the super-user password cannot damage the system, because this one will not have access to the configuration files and control. It allows too the clustering processing, where a lot of computers linked add its capacities to the execution of the same software; Linux has more than ten graphical interfaces, which give a visual show even though in the most recent Windows; multi platform - Linux runs in all the machines, like Intel, Macintosh, IBM, Sun...; not obscure - differently of the other operational systems proprietors, of closed code to many keys, Linux is total opened and everybody knows what happen or what is in the nucleus of the system. With the Linux, is very acessible to construct an Intranet or to allow the automatic access and simultaneous to the Internet - all the job stations can access, through the local net, the Internet resources - web and e-mail - without the necessity of a local modem.
